Mike Fickling
Commercial Manager

Mike leads the Case IH Finance team, and has been with MARAC for nearly 15 years, starting out as a Financial Services Manager.

Mike began his career in finance in 1978 with Westpac, working in general banking and the foreign exchange division. He then spent four years with Citibank in London before returning to New Zealand and working for AGC in both sales and credit roles.

Mike has specialised in the agriculture and transport industries, but his range of experience makes him well qualified for leading Case IH Finance nationwide.
In his spare time Mike is an avid sports fan – he enjoys either playing or watching most sports.

Paul Clayton
Financial Services Manager - Hamilton

Paul has over twenty years’ experience in finance and business, having worked for AGC, BNZ Finance, Lombard Group and Asset Finance before joining MARAC. Paul also spent six years in self-employment, working with his wife in a fitness centre and a commercial furniture business. Being self-employed has given Paul a great insight into the business management and its requirements. This coupled with his finance experience means he’s able to understand a client’s business quickly and develop a tailored financial solution specifically for their needs.

Patrick Coupe
Financial Services Manager - Christchurch

Patrick’s working life started with an agriculture focus when he gained a Diploma in Agriculture from Massey in 1985. He shifted to the finance field in the late 1980s, first as a currency broker for M W Marshalls in Wellington, and then in business finance with AGC in both Christchurch and Rotorua.

Patrick joined MARAC’s Christchurch team in 2001, brining his extensive experience and regional contacts to assist our clients. He has provided finance to a wide range of customers form a variety of industries including transport, printing, manufacturing, aviation, earth moving and construction.

“In my view the key to providing successful Case IH Finance packages for clients is to make sure I understand as much as possible about how their business works and to take the time to understand their business goals. Then I am able to provide the most suitable finance solution for them on a long-term basis”.

Peter Jenkin
Financial Services Manager – Palmerston North

Before joining MARAC in July 2005, Peter spent 10 years with UDC Finance, mostly based in Palmerston North as their Commercial Finance Manager covering the greater Manawatu area.

Peter’s early career included time as a grain and seed agent in Mid-Canterbury, a stock agent on the West Coast, and sales manager for New Zealand’s largest international freight forwarding company. This blend of experience in the agriculture and transport industries has been invaluable in understanding the needs of Case IH customers in the central North Island.

He qualified with a post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Victoria University in 1998.

Phil Eketone
Financial Services Manager - Auckland

Phil’s working life began when he set up business as a butcher. After 12 years he moved to the finance industry and has 19 years’ experience in investigations and finance. This includes time at Auckland Finance, where he started as a motor dealer rep then moved to specialise in business lending. He joined MARAC Finance in 2007.

Phil is involved in the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) mentoring programme, working with senior secondary school students. This scheme allows students to develop their own ideas into a business that they can operate within a safe and supportive environment.

Outside of work Phil enjoys spending time with his family, and loves to support his three grandchildren in their various activities. He is also a keen supporter of any team wearing the silver fern!
